We are thrilled to announce the continuation of our “In the PICA Lobby” series! Join us Tuesday July 23rd at PICA for an intimate evening with Havania Whaal, JoJo Scott, Avery Doss and Paralell. This will be a unique opportunity to see some amazing youth (and adult) bands in a super cool setting that sounds amazing! We love to pay our artist so suggested donations ($8) at the door!

Are you under 21 and tired of recording your music in a dank and cramped basement? Then sign up for our DIY Recording Boot Camp!

We’re taking over a church to find out just how big your music can sound!
We’ll have a crew of youth sound engineers and support from Amplus Records and Ear Trumpet Labs and Jackpot! Recording to make sure you learn some new tricks of DIY recording. We’ll even have some  local sound engineers, Larry Crane, Amy Dragon and Richard Stuart, on hand to share their knowledge too! On the first day we’ll have the lessons and lectures from the experts and on the rest of the days it will nonstop recording! Each of the 8 bands that join us will get a 4 hour time slot (8-12 or 1-5) on one of the remaining days.
After the workshop is over you’ll get the recordings to share as you wish. Friends of Noise will also share the recordings (with your approval, our lawyer is working on all the legal stuff now) on digital platforms. Maybe we can release our first compilation!!
The cost of this workshop is just $100!!
Email us for payment arrangements at info@friendsofnoise.org to lock in your spot.
So please share and help us get the word out!

Friends of Noise is a nonprofit that aims to create an all age music and arts venue. Imagine there being a safe space where music lovers of all ages could see a variety of live music. A place where music and arts organizations could provide arts education and the hands on training to run a music venue. Imagine young people having access to a computer/ video lab where they can create content to promote their concerts, design posters and t-shirts and so much more.

Friends of Noise is partnering with youth advocates, creative innovators in arts education, design and music production to make this dream a reality. But we need your help. If you would like to learn more, become an ally please drop us a note with your contact information by sending us an email at info@friendsofnoise.org
